New medicines for hay fever
One of the latest developments in the drug treatment of allergies is a protein molecule specifically directed against IgE antibodies (i.e. an antibody against IgE antibodies); Omalizumab (trade name: Xolair®). Omalizumab (trade name: Xolair®) is intended to prevent the development of allergies and is primarily used in the therapy of allergic asthma.
