Nightly restlessness during pregnancy

Nocturnal restlessness and sleep disturbances are a symptom that occurs relatively frequently during pregnancy. It plays a role especially at the beginning and towards the end of the pregnancy. Here, too, triggering factors should be identified first and eliminated if possible.

That means among other things: Light meals for dinner and no caffeine in the evening. Relaxation exercises such as yoga in the evening can also help. In pregnant women, frequent visits to the toilet due to water retention (edema) also play a role in nighttime restlessness.

Regularly putting your legs up during the day can help here. Drinking sleep-inducing herbal teas containing valerian and hops in the evening can also help.
