For the production of a possible nourishing example with rheumatic illnesses it applies to consider two principles. A portion of fruit is recommended. A good option for lunch could be a vegetable casserole or salmon with vegetables and rice. During the course of the day, another portion of fruit can be added. For dinner, easily digestible food should be preferred. For example, a Hokkaido pumpkin soup or egg-free noodles with steamed vegetables could be considered.

In the long term, the optimal weight setting should be considered, since overweight as an additional factor has a bad effect on the joints. Sufficient exercise as well as the supply of vitamins and trace elements should also be aimed for. In individual cases, however, you should always stick to what makes you feel best and avoid deficiency symptoms. Strict renunciation or prohibitions should be avoided, since this often involves the danger of a simple diet.

Further therapy measures with rheumatism

Beside the healthy nutrition each rheumatic illness should be treated accompanying also medicamentously. Usually substances are used here, which are to obtain on the one hand short term a symptom improvement (e.g. non-steroidal antirheumatics) and on the other hand in the long run the progress of the illness favorably to affect to be supposed (e.g. Glukokortikoide).

Physical therapy approaches such as cold and heat applications as well as physiotherapy can also lead to an improvement in symptoms. The joints should be moved sufficiently and the surrounding musculature strengthened. Acutely, injections into the joints can also temporarily reduce the symptoms.
