Behavioral risk factors
- Diet

- Consumption of stimulants
- Alcohol (evening consumption)
- Sitting in front of the TV
- Sleeping in the supine position
- Being overweight (BMI ≥ 25; obesity)
Medication
- Taking sleeping pills such as benzodiazepines (e.g., diazepam), which decrease muscle tone
