The indication for a surgical intervention depends on the severity of the hip dysplasia and the pain of the child. The conservative approach to treatment is increasingly preferred and is the first to be exhausted. If there has already been severe wear and tear in the hip, a total endoprosthesis can be inserted into the joint by surgical intervention. This is more common in adults than in infants and children.
