Osteoblastoma: Complications

The following are the most important diseases or complications that may be contributed to by osteoblastoma:

Musculoskeletal system and connective tissue (M00-M99).

  • Restricted mobility
  • Incorrect load and joint misalignment, postural deformities (caused by the pain → avoidance behavior).
  • When osteoblastoma is located near joints or growth plates:

Psyche – nervous system (F00-F99; G00-G99)

  • Depression

Symptoms and abnormal clinical and laboratory findings not elsewhere classified (R00-R99)

  • Chronic pain

Injuries, poisonings, and other consequences of external causes (S00-T98)

  • Pathologic fractures (broken bones) – due to the bone tumor, the affected bone loses strength
