Osteoblastoma: Diagnostic Tests

Obligatory medical device diagnostics.

  • Conventional radiography of the affected body region, in two planes – to assess the extent of tumor growth; detection of osteolytic (bone-dissolving) areas (usually > 2 cm).
  • Computed tomography (CT; sectional imaging method (X-ray images from different directions with computer-based evaluation)) – for the purpose of determining the location, size, and extent of the tumor (bone destruction/destruction?); especially the nidus (focus) is well represented in the CT
  • If necessary, skeletal scintigraphy (nuclear medical procedure that can represent functional changes in the skeletal system, in which regionally (locally) pathologically (pathologically) increased or decreased bone remodeling processes are present) – it shows a focal (focal) accumulation.
