Pain on removal – How can pain be reduced?
Most methods for removing the moustache are more or less painful. The method of a wet shave is considered one of the methods where the least pain is experienced. Provided, of course, that you do not cut yourself with a razor blade.
Furthermore, this method is less irritating and less painful if a well-tolerated shaving foam is used for shaving. Afterwards the depilated skin should be creamed or oiled. However, the shave must be done regularly.

Especially the area above the upper lip contains many nerve branches and is therefore particularly sensitive. It is difficult to remove the lady’s beard without tweaking and pinching. However, a slight habituation effect often occurs.
This means that the more often the moustache is removed, the less painful it is – in some cases. A trick that can reduce the pain is the use of ice cubes. These can be used to cool the area above the upper lip to be depilated.
This reduces the sensitivity of the skin in that area. Consequently, the pain is perceived less strongly. Alternatively you can use an ice pad.
If the skin is well numbed by the cold, the lady’s whiskers can be removed with less pain using cold wax strips. Afterwards the depilated area can be rubbed with baby oil or another well-tolerated facial oil. Another method, which according to the manufacturer and some experience reports should be as painless as possible, is the use of the IPL devices.
IPL stands for Intensed Pulsed Light. The device contains a Xenon lamp. This lamp emits flashes of light at regular intervals.
The lady’s whiskers absorb the light flashes. Here they are converted into heat. The resulting heat reaches the hair roots.
There it comes to a kind of desolation. This inhibits the growth of the hair of the beard. Depilation studios use these devices. But in the meantime it is also possible to buy these devices for at home.
