Pain

Many patients worry about possible pain during a nose correction, but these worries can be taken away. A nose operation is one of the operations that cause the least pain during the healing phase. Most patients report slight pain shortly after the operation, but this can be managed quickly with the help of painkillers.

Severe pain is extremely rare. Unpleasant, but certainly not painful, is the pressure of the plaster cast. Immediately after the nose correction, the region below the eye in particular should be cooled well, this reduces the development of severe swelling and bruising.

Unfortunately, they cannot be prevented completely. In the first few weeks, you should try to sleep on your back with a raised upper body. This reduces the frequency of bleeding and the freshly operated nose is not deformed while sleeping (but the risk is generally very low thanks to the plaster cast). Strong pressure on the nose should be avoided in any case, so spectacle wearers are advised to change to contact lenses for the time after the operation or to fix the glasses to the forehead with an adhesive strip so that they do not touch the nose.
