- Abdominal ultrasonography (ultrasound examination of abdominal organs) – for suspected involvement of abdominal organs (e.g., liver in V. D. for liver fluke)
- Electrocardiogram (ECG; recording of the electrical activity of the heart muscle) – if cardiac involvement is suspected.
- X-ray of the chest (X-ray thorax/chest), in two planes – if lung/heart involvement is suspected.
- Computed tomography (CT) of the abdomen (abdominal CT) – for further diagnosis in suspected abdominal organ involvement.
