Parsley: Effect and Side Effects

The diuretic effect of parsley is mainly attributed to phenylpropanes and flavonoids, which have kidney irritant and stimulant properties. Apiol, in higher concentrations, has a contracting (contraction-promoting) effect on the uterus.

Parsley: possible side effects

In rare cases, allergic reactions of the skin or mucous membranes may occur. Phototoxic reactions are possible, especially in very fair-skinned people.
