Penaten® against pimple marks

Pimple marks are the spots in the area of the damaged skin, which remain for a long time after the regression of a pimple. To improve this healing process, Penaten® skin care cream can also be used. Especially the zinc oxide contained in the cream leads to a soothing of irritated skin as well as a reduction of redness. Many patients report a fast healing of pimple marks.

Penaten® cream for herpes

Penaten® cream is not suitable for the treatment of herpes blisters on the face (often in the area of the lips). Sometimes the symptoms of sore skin can be improved by the cream for a short time, but many patients experience a worsening of the herpes blisters within a short time. Only the zinc oxide contained in Penaten® can partially prevent a further infection (so-called superinfection) of the blisters.

The typical herpes blisters that manifest themselves on the face are caused by viruses. These are transmitted via saliva, among other things. More than 80% of people worldwide are infected with herpes simplex viruses. Creams that directly combat the viruses are suitable for treating this viral disease. One of the active ingredients frequently contained in these creams is acyclovir.

Penaten® cream against hemorrhoids

In order to ensure the continence of liquids and gases, the rectum contains a cavernous body consisting of a vascular network. If these vessels multiply, swell abnormally or change, this is colloquially known as hemorrhoids. Typical symptoms are severe itching and bloody stool.

For slightly pronounced hemorrhoids (grade 1 and 2), common ointments containing zinc, panthenol, witch hazel or aleo vera are often used during treatment. These promote wound healing and inhibit inflammation. They are often supplemented by local anesthetics or cortisone.

Penaten® cream is not normally intended for the treatment of hemorrhoids. However, due to the ingredients it contains (zinc and panthenol), it can improve the symptoms to a small extent. Simultaneous treatment with other creams and medications is necessary in any case.
