Enthesopathies refers to disorders of the peripheral ligamentous/muscular attachments. They include inflammatory changes in the tendons, bursae, and joint capsules.

Etiology (causes)

Behavioral causes

  • Incorrect footwear
  • Lack of training condition or incorrect training.
  • Sports with sprints and rapid deceleration as in squash, etc.
  • Overuse

Laboratory diagnoses – laboratory parameters that are considered independent risk factors.

  • Hypercholesterolemia
  • Hypertriglyceridemia
  • Hyperuricemia
