Phlebitis Migrans: Therapy

Local therapy may be used for short-segment phlebitis. The following measures are used:

• Compression bandages/phlebological compression bandage (PKV).
• Cold wrap
• Alcohol wrap
• Creams/gels containing heparin

General measures

• Nicotine restriction (refraining from tobacco use) – especially in thrombangiitis obliterans.
