Physiotherapy/treatment | Exercises for elbow pain

Physiotherapy/treatment

How the treatment, especially in the field of physiotherapy, looks exactly depends largely on the cause of the elbow pain. Of course, the primary goal is to fight the pain. This should be done as long-term as possible and at the same time the cause responsible for the pain should be eliminated. Especially overstrain and incorrect strain can be treated and eliminated.Therapists have various options available to them for treating pain in the elbow joint: Heat, cold and electrical applications to stimulate the musculature, improve blood circulation, reduce inflammation and alleviate pain Ultrasound and shock wave therapy also as part of pain treatment and to loosen adhesions Lymph drainage to reduce swelling in the joint and promote metabolism Manual therapy to alleviate pain passive mobilization of the joint, to improve blood circulation and prevent adhesions Physiotherapy with and without equipment to strengthen, stabilize, stretch and mobilize the elbow joint MTC/medical Taping to stabilize the joint and improve metabolism The therapy is strongly oriented on the wound healing phases of the tissue.

  • Heat, cold and electrical applications to stimulate the muscles, improve blood circulation, reduce inflammation and alleviate pain
  • Ultrasound treatment and shock wave therapy also as part of pain treatment and to loosen adhesions
  • Lymphatic drainage to reduce swelling of the joint and promote the metabolism
  • Manual therapy to relieve pain, passive mobilization of the joint, improve blood circulation and prevent adhesions
  • Physiotherapy with and without equipment to strengthen, stabilize, stretch and mobilize the elbow joint
  • MTC/medical taping to stabilize the joint and improve metabolism

Pain during tricep training

Pain during triceps training may indicate tendonitis. This is usually caused by a persistent overloading of the tendon. Affected persons feel this by pulling, tearing pains in the elbow area, which get worse as soon as the tendon is moved.

Pressure pains in the area of the tendon insertion are also typical complaints. In the beginning, the affected persons do not notice anything during the training. Only in the course of the day or the next morning do the first signs appear with a feeling similar to aching muscles.

However, unlike with a normal sore muscle, the complaints persist and develop into permanent pain as training continues, which ultimately makes training impossible. If you suspect a tricep injury, you should stop exercising immediately and consult a doctor for an accurate diagnosis. Afterwards, it may be necessary to temporarily relieve the arm and return it to its original position through specific exercises.
