Powder Facts

Powder is used in facial cosmetics mainly to mattify the skin.

It makes the skin look velvety matte and ensures that the makeup lasts a long time. Powder is applied after makeup on the whole face, including the eyelids and lips.Ultra-fine, lightweight powders protect the skin from drying, mattify the skin and refine pores. Small imperfections are evened out.

Which powder for which skin type?

For oily skin and combination skin, oil- and talc-free compact powder is particularly suitable, which takes the shine off the skin. For dry and sensitive skin, use a powder with nourishing properties. If you want to give your skin a touch of summer tan, use bronze powder, which you can apply all over the face, as blush or eye shadow.

How to apply powder?

  • Always wait a little before applying the powder on the makeup, otherwise the complexion may look blotchy.
  • Using a powder puff, gently dab the powder on the edges of the face first, then powder the rest of the face, eyelids and lips. The powder fixes the complexion makeup, mattifies the skin and ensures that makeup products last longer.
  • Gently sweep over the entire face with a special powder brush.

You can choose between loose powder and compact powder. The loose powder is applied generously with a powder brush or powder puff and makes the face look particularly soft. Compact powder is ideal for in between to refresh the make-up again.
