Medical history (history of the patient) represents an important component in the diagnosis of presbyopia (presbyopia).

  • Do you find it difficult to read anything at a normal reading distance? Does it seem like your arms are not long enough to read?
  • How long has this symptomatology existed?
  • Have you noticed any other symptoms such as itching or burning of the eyes?
  • Do your eyes tire quickly?
  • Has the symptomatology increased?
  • Do you have pain in the eye?
  • Do you already wear glasses or contact lenses?
