In the images produced by magnetic resonance imaging, the soft tissues of the joint are mainly visible, i.e. the joint capsule, ligaments, tendons, muscles and blood vessels. Cartilage is also clearly visible. Water or bruises in the joint can also be clearly seen.
The various structures can be highlighted very clearly, especially through the administration of contrast medium, and even tumors and metastases of small size can be seen. These are either light or dark in color. This depends on the way the images were taken

The costs of MRI images are usually covered by statutory and private health insurance companies, as they represent a necessary diagnostic procedure. Depending on the place of examination and effort (with or without contrast medium), the costs amount to about 400 to 1000 Euros. Duration of an MRT examination of the hip
The MRI examination itself, i.e. the taking of the images, is not very time-consuming at about 15 to 20 minutes. It takes longer if additional images are taken with contrast medium. In addition, the preparations and waiting take a certain amount of time.
After the images have been taken, you have to wait for the doctor who will conduct the final discussion with the evaluation of the images. The duration of the examination is difficult to predict and depends on the organization of the procedure.
