Prevention

There is no real prevention or prevention against vaginal cramps. Vaginal cramps are often caused by triggering events. These do not always have to be severe, traumatic experiences such as rape.

Even painful sexual intercourse or a rough gynecological examination can trigger vaginal cramps. It is of course advisable to be careful with your own body and to demand this clearly from your partner, but the occurrence of vaginal cramps cannot necessarily be prevented. The influence you can have on organic causes, such as endometriosis or infection, is also limited. The best thing you can do is to talk about possible fears and complaints early on and to take active steps to prevent a chronic course.

Many women are ashamed to talk about the problem with their gynecologist or partner, which is why vaginal cramps occur again and again. However, the earlier the problem is tackled, the sooner the condition can be improved.
