Prognosis | Pain in the ovaries during pregnancy

Prognosis

Since in most cases, the pain is only caused by hormonal changes or stretching of the ligaments, the prognosis of pain in the ovaries during pregnancy is usually very good. In the course of the pregnancy, they usually subside by themselves and should rather be seen as a sign of a beginning pregnancy than as a symptom of a serious illness. However, if the pain becomes more severe or is accompanied by bleeding and increased nausea, it should be clarified by a doctor as soon as possible.

In most cases, however, even the underlying diseases have a good prognosis if diagnosed early. Only rarely do they affect the unborn child.
