Prognosis/Progress | Pigment disorder on the forehead

Prognosis/Progress

A pigment disorder on the forehead has no disease value in most cases and therefore usually takes a harmless course. For this reason, most of the affected persons can only be considered for cosmetic treatment of the changed skin area. How exactly the pigment disorder on the forehead develops over time depends to a large extent on the underlying cause.

Freckles, for example, gradually recede of their own accord as they grow up. Age spots, on the other hand, usually do not appear until adulthood and continue to increase with increasing age. The so-called white spot disease also tends to develop slowly over the years. The pigmentation disorders on the forehead typically increase in number and size over the course of time and can eventually form large foci.
