Prognosis
The prognosis of soft tissue injury depends on several factors. On the one hand, it plays a role whether it is a direct or indirect impact of violence. In addition, the severity of the injury and infections due to contamination are important factors for the prognosis.
The prognosis also depends on the injured body region. Injuries to the abdominal, thoracic and pelvic cavities can lead to severe internal bleeding. The patient’s other general condition should also not be underestimated, for example if other diseases are present. Particularly at risk are patients with immune disorders, diabetes and tumor diseases.
