Psychosomatic heart stumbling

Synonyms

Heart stumbling psychosomatically

Introduction

In many cases, the occurrence of a heart stumble can be based on an organic cause. In persons who frequently suffer from heart flutter without an organic cause being detectable, a psychosomatic genesis may be present under certain circumstances. Especially sudden and unexpected anxiety attacks or almost overwhelming anxiety attacks can be a psyche based cause for the occurrence of a heart stumble.

In such a panic attack, symptoms such as shortness of breath, a choking sensation in the throat, palpitations, a feeling of pressure in the chest, sweating, dizziness, nausea and a general feeling of weakness occur in addition to the heart stumbling. The panic attack is considered to be the most common psyche based cause of heart stumbling. In addition, various substances that affect the psyche can lead to suddenly occurring heart flutter.

Particularly after excessive consumption of caffeine-containing drinks, such as coffee, heart rhythm disturbances such as heart stumbling can occur. In general, it can be assumed that impairments of the psyche have a far-reaching influence on organic processes. Panic attacks, depression or other diseases of the psyche are not uncommon.

Neither the underlying impairment of the psyche nor the resulting organic manifestations can be remedied without professional help. For this reason, persons who suspect that they are suffering from psychologically caused heart stumbling should urgently consult a specialist as soon as possible. Otherwise there is a risk that the person concerned will fall into a spiral of anxiety, which will lead to a progressive increase in symptoms.

Occurrence

Heart stumbling is one of the most common cardiac arrhythmias and is only discovered by chance in many patients. The reason for this is the fact that heart stumbles do not always cause symptoms. In general, it can be assumed that about a quarter of the population suffers at least temporarily from heart stumbling.

It is difficult to judge which part of this is actually due to an organic cause and which part is caused by the psyche. Since a large number of people who suffer from psyche related heart flutter do not seek medical treatment, it can be assumed that the proportion is much higher than assumed. The problem with psychosomatic illnesses (e.g. heart stumbling caused by the psyche) is that the persons affected do not usually consider themselves to be mentally ill.

The cause of the development of heart stumbles, which is based on the psyche, can be very diverse. In most cases, however, the cause lies on the psychosocial level. While most people are now aware that symptoms such as fatigue and exhaustion can be an expression of permanent overload, very few of those affected associate symptoms such as heart stumbling with the psyche.

Are you affected by heez stumbling, especially at night? In addition, persistent stress can lead to changes in the hormonal system. The change in the hormone balance, in turn, can affect both the cardiovascular system and the immune system.

As a result, people who are regularly exposed to stress often suffer from high blood pressure and dizziness. Infectious diseases can also spread and take on a more pronounced course in people whose immune system is inhibited by their own psyche. Heart stumbling caused by the psyche can have serious consequences precisely because affected persons often repress the symptoms until the body collapses completely.

In this context, so-called “self-imposed stress”, caused by too high demands on oneself, can also be a psychological cause of heart stumbling. Persons who make excessive demands on themselves and arrange their lives with too much ambition often suffer from chronic exhaustion. This in turn can also have a negative effect on the cardiovascular system.

Affected persons then more often suffer from heart stumbling caused by their own psyche. Furthermore, unconscious inner ambivalence can lead to physical complaints. Above all, persistent fears, dissatisfaction, sadness or envy can lead to cardiac dysrhythmia such as heart stumbling. Other psyche based causes for the development of heart stumbles are fear of the future and existence, loneliness, poverty and financial insecurity. In addition, sudden heart failure is often associated with everyday problems, such as conflicts in the job, relationship or family. Whether such external circumstances influence the psyche of a person in such a way that psychosomatic illnesses develop depends both on the genetic disposition and on the private environment and personality of the person affected.
