- Abdominal ultrasonography (ultrasound examination of abdominal organs) – to rule out renal/liver disease, gastrointestinal tract changes/bleeding.
Optional medical device diagnostics – depending on the results of the history, physical examination, laboratory diagnosticsand obligatory medical device diagnostics – for differential diagnostic clarification.
- Computed tomography (CT) of the abdomen (abdominal CT) – to exclude tumors/metastases or sources of bleeding.
- Magnetic resonance imaging of the abdomen (abdominal MRI) – to exclude tumors/metastases (daughter tumors) or sources of bleeding.
