The following symptoms and complaints may indicate respiratory (breathing-related) alkalosis:
- Dyspnea–difficulty breathing, feeling short of breath.
- Paresthesias (sensory disturbances).
- Dizziness
- Tetanic manifestations – muscle spasms, to paw-like cramping of the hands.
