The following are the most important diseases or complications that may be contributed to by restless legs syndrome (RLS):
Cardiovascular system (I00-I99).
- Coronary artery disease (CAD) – in women with existing RLS for at least 3 years.
Psyche – nervous system (F00-F99; G00-G99).
- Erectile dysfunction (ED, erectile dysfunction).
- Insomnia (sleep disorders) – difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep [esp. difficulty falling asleep]
- Daytime sleepiness
