Retinal Detachment (Ablatio Retinae): Complications

The following are the most important diseases or complications that may be contributed to by ablatio retinae (retinal detachment):

Eyes and eye appendages (H00-H59).

  • Amaurosis (blindness; blindness).
  • Proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR) – progressive vitreous disease, e.g., due to excessive cell proliferation after retinal detachment or severe eye injury.
