Olynth® is intended for use in the nose (nasal) and should therefore only be used there. For application, the spray bottle is inserted with its tip into both nostrils one after the other. By briefly pressing the spray bottle, a mist is sprayed into the nostrils.

During spraying, one should breathe in lightly through the nose. The application can be done one to three times a day, depending on your needs. The effect lasts up to twelve hours, the last application should be followed shortly before going to bed for a peaceful sleep.

In general, there is a risk of infection if the spray bottle is passed on to other people. Therefore, the use of each individual spray bottle is only permitted by one person. If you have accidentally taken too much Olynth®, you must inform your doctor immediately.

Poisoning will only occur after a significant overdose. However, these difficult-to-interpret clinical signs are evident because suppression and stimulation of the cardiovascular system (and central nervous system) can alternate. If the central nervous system is affected, this is manifested by feelings of anxiety, agitation and convulsions (stimulation), or by drowsiness, lethargy and even coma (inhibition).

In addition, symptoms such as fever, paleness, palpitations, respiratory depression to respiratory arrest, nausea and vomiting, and narrow (miosis) and wide pupils (mydriasis) may occur. In the case of poisoning with Olynth®, it is essential that the patient receives medical attention; hospitalization may be necessary.
