Rheumatic Fever: Medical History

Medical history (history of illness) represents an important component in the diagnosis of rheumatic fever.

Family history

  • What is the general health of your family members?
  • Are there any diseases in your family that are common?

Social history

  • What is your profession?

Current medical history/systemic history (somatic and psychological complaints).

  • What symptoms have you noticed?
  • How long have these symptoms been present?
  • Do you have joint pain? If so, which joint is affected?
  • Do you have any skin lesions? If so, where are they and what do they look like?
  • Do you have a fever? If so, what is the temperature?
  • Do you suffer from general discomfort such as fatigue, headache?
  • Have you noticed chest pain or impaired performance?
  • Have you had an upper respiratory infection in the past few weeks? If so, have you received antibiotic therapy?

Vegetative anamnesis incl. nutritional anamnesis.

Self anamnesis incl. medication anamnesis.
