This article refers to LitoFlex.
Stem plant
The powder for LitoFlex is obtained from a subspecies of rosehip, ssp. , of the rose family.
Medicinal drug
The powder is made from the so-called pseudo-fruits of the plant (Cynosbati fructus). They are frozen after harvest, dried and ground. Both the pulp and the seeds are used. Only the irritating hairs are separated. During the production process, the temperature must never exceed 40°C in order to preserve the active ingredients. Rosehip tea or jams are therefore not suitable for therapy.
Ingredients
Active ingredients include galactolipids (GOPO), polyphenols, vitamin C, and fatty acids. In addition, the fruits also contain carotenoids, acids, pectin, minerals and tannins.
Effects
Rosehip powder has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory and antioxidant properties. The effects are delayed within about three to six weeks.
Indications for use
Rosehip powder is mainly taken for osteoarthritis (e.g., knee, hip). It can also be used for rheumatic complaints and chronic back pain.
Dosage
According to the manufacturer’s instructions. For the first three to four months, 5 g of the powder is usually taken. The dose can also be divided into two administrations. The powder can be stirred into yogurt or muesli. Subsequently, it can be reduced to 2.5 g. Sufficient liquid should be drunk to prevent constipation.
Contraindications
Rosehip powder is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity. We do not have a complete list of precautions.
Interactions
