Rosmarini folium – Rosemary leaves: the whole, dried foliage of L. (PhEur). PhEur requires a minimum content of essential oil and hydroxycinnamic acid derivatives.

Ingredients

  • Essential oil: rosemary oil PhEur (Rosmarini aetheroleum).
  • Tannins
  • Labiates tannins: rosmarinic acid

Effects

  • Antispasmodic
  • Stimulates blood circulation
  • Increases blood flow to the coronary arteries

Fields of application

  • Internally for gastrointestinal complaints
  • Externally as rubefaciens for rheumatic complaints, circulatory problems.
  • As a bath additive
  • As a spice

Dosage

As an infusion, daily dose 4-6 g of drug.
