Rouge

Rouge (from French rouge ‘red’) is used to change the color of the face (complexion) so that the cheeks appear redder, thus more youthful and “healthy”.

Rouge often consists of a talcum powder that has red dye added to it.

Use creme blush or powder blush applied with a special blush brush. Your blush will be especially durable if you first apply some cremerouge, dust it with powder and then add some powder blush on top.

Which blush for which skin type?

For dry and sensitive skin, cremerouge is best, for oily skin and combination skin prone to blemishes, you should prefer powder blush.

Which blush for which skin tone?

Choose a blush color that matches your skin tone.Dark or tanned skin harmonizes best with red tones. On light skin, delicate blush shades such as rosé work particularly well. Please use little yellow-brown tones, which this looks unnatural.

How is blush applied?

Apply blush vertically from the cheek to the hairline, moving the brush from the ear down towards the nose

The most common blush mistakes:

  • Blush shades that are too dark or too light
  • Blush applied in a horizontal strip on the cheek.
  • Choose blush in a shade that does not harmonize with the lipstick.
  • Strong shimmering or glittery blushes that emphasize small wrinkles and skin imperfections.

Each face has its own shape, which gives it individuality.
