Sarcoidosis: Medical History

Medical history (history of illness) represents an important component in the diagnosis of sarcoidosis.

Family history

  • What is the general health of your family members?
  • Are there any diseases in your family that are common?
  • Are there any hereditary diseases in your family?

Social anamnesis

Current medical history/systemic medical history (somatic and psychological complaints).

  • What complaints have you noticed?
  • Are you suffering from joint inflammation? Does the joint hurt, is it overheated?
  • Have you noticed any skin changes such as redness, papules, etc.?
  • Do you have a fever? If so, what is the temperature and how long has it been?
  • Do you have a cough?
  • Do you suffer from shortness of breath on exertion?
  • Do you have a general feeling of illness?
  • Do you feel tired / sleepy?
  • Have you noticed any symptoms in your eyes?
