Select 181 Test

Select 181 provides evidence of IgG-mediated food intolerances of allergy type III.

Whether strawberries, dairy products, peppers, soy, shrimp, salmon, tuna, hazelnut, wheat, or beans, etc., almost any food – if predisposed – can trigger delayed IgG antibody immune reactions and lead to significant symptoms.

The Select 181 test provides patients with chronic inflammatory complaints with indications as to whether and, if so, which foods are the cause of these problems, especially if the previous diagnoses did not lead to any results. Often, the Select 181 brings to light the astonishing fact that even foods considered healthy are individually intolerable for some patients.

The procedure

Because the triggers of immune reactions to foods can vary widely, a meaningful test must include as many substances as possible. Select 181/Select 181 Plus tests 176 and 264 different everyday foods, respectively, with a single blood sample.

IgG antibodies to foods in the normal range detected in human blood are unrelated to any medical condition and only suggest that certain foods have been consumed.
The Select 181/Select 181 Plus test is performed using the scientifically established ELISA laboratory procedure (Enzyme-Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay). In this procedure, an antigen-antibody reaction is induced. Select 181 looks for antibodies directed against specific foods. There is a specific antibody for each antigen, so all foods must also be tested individually. This antigen is firmly bound to a so-called microtiter plate. If patient serum is added, any antibodies present bind with the antigen already present. In order to evaluate this reaction, it must be made visible. For this purpose, there are specially produced antibodies labeled with an enzyme that are directed against these antibodies and trigger a color reaction. This color reaction is measured densitometrically and the higher the color intensity, the more of the patient’s antibodies were bound. The stronger the specific reaction the greater the possibility of an IgG mediated immune reaction against food as an indication of food intolerance!

Benefit

The IgG antibody test Select 181 gives you an indication of which foods are conspicuous by exceptionally high IgG antibody levels in your blood and are thus suspected of being responsible for complaints of many kinds.

In just a few days you will have the answer to the question of which foods could be standing in the way of your well-being.

You will receive dietary recommendations adapted to your personal test result, as well as many hints and tips individually tailored to your test result.
