Settling

As mentioned before, it can also be helpful to have the cervical spine straightened. Here, the therapist applies force to the affected joint or bone by means of certain movements and speed in order to bring it back into the correct position. This can be helpful because a malposition or incorrect posture also changes the surrounding tissue, causing tension and pain.

By setting the spinal column, the pressure is taken off these tissue parts, so that in our case the cervical spine is made more mobile and flexible again and the pain is relieved. However, before setting the correct position, a detailed investigation of the cause should be carried out to ensure that the patient is suitable for setting the correct position and that the symptoms are not aggravated or cause other problems.
