Shoes for women

The problem with classic women’s shoes is precisely the structure of these. Women’s shoes are narrow, narrow at the front and in the “best” case still have heels. The results are constricted toes, pressure on bony protrusions, a change in the stress and the length of the tendons.

Exactly the points of origin for a hallux valgus. Manufacturers of health shoes try to accommodate the request anyway. The bulky construction is replaced by supple leather, which is also reflected in the price. Meanwhile, some women’s shoes can be found that combine the health aspect – space, stability and comfort with the look of pretty ladies’ shoes.

Heel shoes

High heels are absolutely not recommended for Hallux Valgus sufferers or those at risk. The pressure on the forefoot and thus on the affected big toe joint increases many times over when wearing high shoes. In addition, high shoes are very tight at the front to provide stability for the small contact area of the foot. If you don’t want to do without your heels at all, there is also a range of special Hallux Valgus shoes, but the heels are no higher than three to four centimeters and have a wider and padded forefoot bed to prevent them from being subjected to too much pressure.

Shoe Insoles

Insoles for a Hallux valgus exist for normal shoes as well as for the special shoes discussed here, which has the advantage that they can also be placed in sports shoes. They support the foot in their shape and special pads under the metatarsus to relieve the forefoot. The metatarsal bone of the big toe is slightly raised by a small cushion to take the pressure off the deformed joint.

These insoles with pads to exert pressure are called pads. Their shape and structure also support the arch of the foot. The system, as well as the shoes, can be worn every day as needed, but it must always be remembered that they only provide passive support. Besides, active muscle training should never be neglected.
