Optional medical device diagnostics – depending on the results of the history, physical examination, laboratory diagnostics, and obligatory medical device diagnostics – for differential diagnostic clarification.

  • ECG (electrocardiogram) – indicates the conduction of excitation of the heart.
  • Echocardiographyultrasound examination of the heart.
  • Computed tomography (CT) – sectional imaging procedure (X-ray images taken from different directions with computer-based evaluation), in which the central nervous system, but also the abdominal organs can be well represented
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) – computer-assisted cross-sectional imaging method (using magnetic fields, that is, without X-rays); particularly well suited for changes in the spinal cord and brain.
  • Abdominal sonography – ultrasound of the abdominal organs.
