Side effect

Side effects during treatment with Tannolact products are rare. This is partly due to the fact that the active ingredients are only applied externally (topically) and therefore do not enter the body’s bloodstream. For this reason, side effects occur mainly in the area of the skin where the product was applied.

In rare cases, allergic reactions of the skin may occur. The body reacts to different ingredients of the cream. As a result, the skin may redden, itch or burn slightly.

In addition, further skin irritations are possible. Especially an application of Tannolact around the eyes is dangerous. Contact with the eyes causes a strong irritation and inflammatory reaction in the eye area. Strong flushing of the eyes for at least 10 minutes and consultation of an ophthalmologist is urgently required in this case. If any side effects occur, Tannolact products should first be discontinued for safety reasons and a doctor should be consulted.

Application

The use of Tannolact differs according to the form of administration (cream, bath additive, lotion). The Tannolact (fat) cream should be applied thinly to the affected skin area three times a day. It should be applied until the inflammation of the skin has subsided.

Tannolact lotions should be applied thinly once or twice a day. They are particularly suitable for the prevention of diaper dermatitis and can therefore be applied at every diaper change. The bath additives of Tannolact can be used in many different ways.Full baths, sitting baths and partial baths are possible.

The amount of bath additive is to be taken from the package insert depending on the type of bath. Alternatively, the bath additives can also be used for compresses and wraps. These can be applied to the inflamed skin areas two to three times a day.

Particularly in the intimate area, permanently reddened and inflamed skin is often seen. This is usually symptomatic of severe itching. The constant rubbing of the skin folds or through clothing continuously increases this inflammation.

In addition, there is a risk of infection of the inflamed skin, as there are numerous naturally occurring germs in the intimate area. The regular use of Tannolact fat cream can counteract this. Applying it three times a day strengthens the epidermis, forms a protective film and at the same time relieves itching, burning and pain.

Tannolact can also be used for inflammations and open wounds in the course of a hemorrhoid disease. Hemorrhoids are arterial erectile tissue in the area of the anus, which in interaction with the musculature seals the end of the intestine. Due to various causes, these vessels can dilate and multiply with the appearance of severe itching, pain during bowel movement and blood in the stool.

This inflammatory reaction can be alleviated with the help of Tannolact. In addition to the use of a cream, the bath additives of Tannolact are particularly suitable for this purpose. This can also ensure effectiveness in areas of the body that are difficult to reach (skin folds).

An anal fissure is a painful, elongated tear of the skin in the anal region. This is usually manifested by a stabbing painful stimulus during bowel movement. Especially the lighter forms of anal fissures can be treated with creams and stool regulating measures.

Due to its anti-inflammatory, itching and pain-relieving effect, Tannolact is suitable for this purpose. At the same time, the application of the cream can support the healing of wounds. In the case of more severe forms of anal fissures, further medication and anaesthetic ointments are required.
