Interactions of eye ointments in barley
Since the eye ointments are only applied externally and not swallowed or injected, the interactions are kept within limits. It should be noted, however, that after the eye ointment has been applied, it should be waited at least 20-30 minutes before contact lenses or other eye medications are used. There are no known interactions between Posiformin® 2% eye ointment or Bepanthen® eye and nose ointment and other drugs. No other drugs containing zinc, lead or mercury should be used while using Floxal® eye ointment. Erythromycin-containing eye ointments should not be combined with the active ingredients lincomycin, clindamycin or chloramphenicol in order not to diminish the effect.
Contraindications – When should eye ointments not be used on barley grain?
