Side effects
Possible side effects of oxytocin as an infusion are:

Interaction
Oxytocin may interact with other drugs. The most notable effect is the increasing effect in combination with other contraction-promoting drugs such as prostaglandins or ergot alkaloids. In combination with the latter, it can also lead to a life-threatening hypertension crisis.
