Side effects

Side effects of Parodontax® toothpaste are not known at this time. However, the dosage should be adhered to, especially with Parodontax® fluoride. This means that you should not brush your teeth with the toothpaste more than three times a day.

Children under 12 years of age should not use Parodontax® toothpaste. Furthermore, the toothpaste should not be swallowed.The toothpaste should be spat out after brushing the teeth. If you have an allergy or intolerance to any of the ingredients, you should refrain from using Parodontax® toothpaste.

Since the toothpaste is pink in color, it could be thought that the Parodontax® toothpaste causes discoloration. However, the opposite is the case: because the plaque (dental plaque) is removed, the teeth appear lighter than before. In addition, the bacteria that were in the plaque are removed.

This prevents future discoloration due to caries. There is also another version of the Parodontax® toothpaste: “Parodontax natural white”. This version has a stronger frictional effect in addition to the usual effects. This is due to the higher concentration of the cleaning agents, which is supposed to lighten the teeth.

Dosage

As a rule, Parodontax® toothpaste should be dosed like other toothpastes. This means that a roughly pea-sized amount is put on the toothbrush. In addition, the Parodontax® toothpaste should be brushed at least twice a day. Nevertheless, you should not use the toothpaste more than three times a day. A higher dosage does not result in a greater effect.

Price of the toothpaste

The package sizes of Parodontax® toothpaste are 75 milliliters each. There are no differences in size between the different versions. The toothpaste can be purchased in drugstores as well as in various mail order companies.

At Rossmann one package costs 3.29 €. All different versions have the same price. However, the Parodontax ® “classic” (without fluoride) is not available at Rossmann.

dm drugstore also carries Parodontax ® “extra fresh”, “fluoride” and “natural white”, but not Parodontax ® “classic”. The prices are currently 3.25€ per pack. With mail order companies the total price is usually higher, since shipping costs are often included. Without shipping, however, the price is often at a comparable level.
