Side effects | Remove spider veins

Side effects

The side effects of sclerotherapy are brownish discoloration of the skin, reddish discoloration of the skin, small scars or even allergic reactions. Side effects of laser removal are brownish spots, bruises and redness. The new appearance cannot be influenced by these treatments. Only sports, a healthy diet and avoiding overweight play a role in preventing spider veins!

Risks of the treatment

A loss of pigment may occur at the site where the spider vein was. This means that, as it were, an impression of the vein remains. However, this happens very rarely.

Sometimes the area does not appear light, but much darker than the surrounding tissue. In isolated cases, one must also expect blistering, redness and swelling of the lasered/desolated area. In very rare cases, an inflammatory reaction may also occur, resulting in wound healing disorders and scarring.

Bruises caused by blood pigment deposits are also possible. After regeneration it cannot be excluded that a new formation of vessels will occur. With sclerotherapy in particular, some patients may react with an allergy to the sclerosing fluid or foam.

However, this risk can be minimized by an allergy test in advance. However, most risks can be kept very low if the instructions of the treating physician are strictly followed.
