Side effects | Sinupret® Drops

Side effects

As a side effect, gastrointestinal complaints may occur. These are usually caused by a slight overdose. This can lead to abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting and diarrhea.

Since Sinupret® drops contain alcohol, people with an alcohol disorder or dry alcoholics should rather take the tablet form. As with all medications, Sinupret® can cause allergic reactions such as skin rashes. If you are hypersensitive to any of the active ingredients, you should stop taking the medicine immediately and consult a doctor.

Price

Sinupret® drops are available in a package size of 100 ml. These cost between 8-10 euros. In addition to Sinupret® drops, Sinupret® tablets (Sinupret® forte) are also available.

Here 20 tablets cost about 7- 10 Euro. The price depends on the respective supplier. The prices given here are average values.

At the baby

Children under two years of age must not take Sinupret®. If the baby has an infection of the sinuses, it is essential to consult a pediatrician. Due to the reduced resistance of the child, bacterial sinusitis can lead to the pathogens entering the bloodstream sooner than in adults. To avoid this, an individual therapy should be initiated by the pediatrician.

Sinupret® drops vs. Sinupret® tablets

Sinupret® drops and Sinupret® tablets have the same active ingredients. They therefore have exactly the same effect. The only difference between the two dosage forms is the composition of the remaining ingredients.

The Sinupret® drops also contain alcohol. The tablets, in contrast, contain lactose to give the tablet its shape. If there is a sore throat in addition to the sinusitis, it may be more pleasant to take the drops, as they are not as difficult to swallow as the tablets.
