Side effects

In principle, all medicines can cause side effects in the body. Depending on the site of attack and the place of action of the drug, completely different side effects can occur. The use of ThermaCare® pain gel can therefore also lead to side effects.

Often slight reddening of the skin can be observed where the skin has had contact with the gel. However, an inflammation of the skin, a so-called dermatitis, or itching can also occur. These symptoms usually disappear after the gel has been discontinued.

In some cases, treatment with ThermaCare® Pain Gel can trigger an asthma attack. However, this severe side effect only occurs in patients with a corresponding susceptibility to this condition. This rare side effect is also known to occur with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs that are taken orally.

If side effects occur in any form, an immediate discontinuation of ThermaCare® Pain Gel is indicated. If you experience unexpected or very severe side effects, please inform your doctor immediately.
