Alternatives to Vitasprint B12

Vitasprint is a so-called dietary supplement containing vitamin B 12 (cobalamin). In addition, the company claims that it also contains glutamate, a substance that plays a role in the brain, but whose intake via a dietary supplement is completely unnecessary. Vitasprint is expensive.

Therefore the question of cheaper alternatives arises. There are numerous preparations that contain vitamin B 12, the main component of Vitasprint. Vitasprint is available in different dosage forms, for example as a capsule and, probably best known from TV commercials, as a drinking solution.

Here 30 drinking bottles with 500 μg Vitamin B 12 cost almost 50 euros. It is recommended to take one drinking bottle per day.the daily therapy costs are thus about 1.60 Euro. There are numerous preparations those Vitamin B 12 contain and clearly more favorably are, Vitamin B 12 drinking solutions are however rather rare.

There are two alternatives which are somewhat more favorable: Tetesept B 12 Vitakick offers 7 drinking bottles for 10 euro, 30 bottles would cost thus scarcely 43 euro. The daily therapy costs would amount to about 1.40. Double heart offers likewise Vitamin B 12 drinking ampoules, here 8 pieces cost 7.50 euro.

30 bottles would cost thus only 28 euro, the daily therapy costs would amount to scarcely 1 euro. Thus the double heart Vitamin B 12 drinking ampoules are clearly more favorable than Vitasprint drinking bottles. Both preparations contain however less Vitamin B 12 than Vitapsprint: Vitasprint 500 μg, Tetesept 50 μg, double heart 55 μg.

And Vitasprint advertises with the high dose of vitamin B 12 in particular. In addition it should be said however that the human body has a daily Vitamin B 12 need of approximately 3 μg. Still in addition with humans, who eat balanced the admission of Vitamin B 12 over the food is completely sufficient, food auxiliary means is unnecessary.

A lack of vitamin B 12 can be determined by a blood sample taken by the family doctor. If such a deficiency exists, a substitution is recommended. Vitasprint is also available as capsules, 20 capsules cost nearly 16 euro here.

The capsules contain 200 μg vitamin B 12. 3 capsules should be taken daily. That makes daily costs of scarcely 2.50 euro.

There are numerous alternatives for Vitamin B 12 caps, here only 2 examples are mentioned: B&K Nutripharm B 12 capsules, 60 capsules for just under 12 euros, the intake of 1 capsule per day (contains 3 μg vitamin B 12) is recommended. Daily costs about 20 cents. Also Pure Encapsulation (per Medico) Vitamin B12, 90 capsules of 500 each μg for 18 Euro.

Daily cost about 20 cents. There are also numerous preparations that contain several vitamins from the vitamin B complex. They can be purchased over the counter in drugstores or pharmacies.

The main difference between Vitasprint and other preparations is – besides the price – that the high dose of vitamin B 12 is advertised. So far, however, there is no evidence that such high doses bring benefits, even though the manufacturer promises significantly more energy after taking them. As already above describe the body needs no more than 3 μg Vitamin B 12 on the day, studies will show whether a high dose of Vitamin B 12 can actually increase the energy.
