Silverfish

Silverfish

Silverfish are wingless insects about the size of a centimeter with a silver-gray coloration. They are found in households in warm, humid locations, preferably in bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms. They live in cracks and crevices, for example, in baseboards. They can cause damage to books, wallpaper and textiles and trigger allergies. Silverfish are nocturnal and are therefore often found in the morning in the bathtub or sink. They feed on cellulose (paper), clothing and glue, among other things.
