2nd order laboratory parameters – depending on the results of the history, physical examination and obligatory laboratory parameters – for differential diagnostic clarification.

  • Microscopic examination of a smear
  • Bacteriological culture from the smear (pathogen and resistance determination) (think of MRSA in farmers with furunculosis).
  • If necessary, CRP (C-reactive protein) and leukocytes (white blood cells).
