Introduction

The 8th Schüssler Salt – Sodium chloratum – is supposed to regulate the ratio of the amount of fluid from inside and outside the cells. In this sense it is used for herpes and skin diseases like acne.

Application of Natrium chloratum for the following diseases in homeopathy

Worsening in the morning hours. Much thirst, craving for salted. Basic attitude pessimistic, tired and pale.

  • Ravenous appetite with a rapid feeling of fullness

  • Weakness of the bladder muscles
  • Reduced sex drive

For herpes and cold sores, sodium chloratum can help by bringing fluid from the intercellular space (i.e. from the vesicles) back into the cell. Therefore, before using this Schüssler salt, it is advisable to check whether the blisters are actually visibly filled with liquid (but do not open the blisters). The dosage form is ideally an ointment of the potency D6 to D12, which is applied several times a day to the affected area.
