Special home remedies for the intimate area

If you are prone to abscesses in the genital area, you can usually achieve a quick improvement by not shaving the intimate area. However, for some people this is not an option nowadays – for those who do not want to do without it, tea tree oil is recommended as an “after-shave” (see below). In general, all household remedies that are anti-inflammatory or especially suitable for abscesses can also be used in the intimate area: In addition to the onion described above, these include, for example, the quark wrap, which also has a pleasantly cooling effect, and white cabbage.

The latter is slightly warmed (not cooked! ), slightly crushed and then placed on the affected area before use. The effect is similar to that of the onion.

Healing earth can also be helpful, as it is usually very good at removing excess pus from the skin and also has a caring effect due to the moisture and minerals it contains. Tea tree oil should also be mentioned in particular: As an anti-inflammatory household remedy, it can also be used for abscesses in the intimate area or mixed with another household remedy, such as a healing earth compress. As an after-shave, it also has a disinfecting and anti-inflammatory effect and thus prevents the development of new abscesses.

Special home remedies for the gums and mouth area

For abscesses in the mouth area, household remedies are particularly suitable, which are also edible without hesitation, since a part can always be swallowed. However, since most household remedies are food or are made from such, this is not a real limitation. As mentioned above, the use of onion, steamed white cabbage or quark can be worthwhile here.

Camomile tea is probably particularly suitable, as it is safe to take orally and has a pleasant taste. It is best drunk hot, as the heat of the liquid can soften the abscess additionally. Furthermore, the anti-inflammatory and bactericidal effect has a positive influence on the healing process of the abscess.Care should be taken with tea tree oil, as swallowing large quantities can cause lung damage. Healing earth is also difficult to use, as the mixture of water and earth would have to be kept in the mouth for several minutes to be effective.
