Speech therapy | Vocal fold polyp

Speech therapy

After removal of the vocal fold polyp, the sound of the voice is often impaired. For this reason, most patients are recommended to undergo speech and voice training after the procedure, during which the speech is trained again. These logopedic exercises should be started as early as possible so that the muscles that are important for the speech process do not regress. After successful completion of the voice training, most patients’ voice will be as it was before the procedure.
